The Maiden & The King Within with Amy Lukas

The Maiden & The King Within: Reclaiming the Sacred Balance of Feminine & Masculine Energy with Amy Lukas

Thursday, June 18th, 2026 @ 7:00 - 8:30pm

This beginner-friendly offering explores the two powerful energies we each carry within us — the part that feels, senses, and creates… and the part that protects, leads, and brings clarity.

In today’s world, many of us live out of balance. We may over-give, over-function, or push toward constant productivity while losing touch with intuition and rest. Or we may feel deeply sensitive and inspired, yet struggle with boundaries or direction.

Drawing inspiration from Jungian psychology and the work of Marion Woodman and Robert Bly, this workshop offers a gentle introduction to the inner relationship between our feminine and masculine energies — what myth calls the Maiden and the King.

Through reflection, guided visualization, and simple experiential practices, participants will explore:

• How masculine and feminine energies live within each of us

• Signs of inner imbalance and burnout

• The voice of intuition and the role of healthy inner authority

• How reconnecting these energies supports creativity, clarity, and emotional wholeness

No prior experience with psychology or shadow work is needed — only curiosity and an open heart. My intention is to create a welcoming, accessible space for insight, renewal, and embodied self-discovery.

Participants will leave with practical reflection tools and a deeper connection to their inner wisdom and strength.

An Introduction to Plant Spirit Work with Josh Williams

An Introduction to Plant Spirit Work with Josh Williams

An Introduction to Plant Spirit Work with Josh Williams

Thursday, August 20th, 2026 @ 6:00 - 7:30pm

Plants are more than medicine. They are living presences: intelligent, communicative, and deeply woven into the spiritual ecology of the land. Across the old herbal traditions of Europe, the herbalist was not only a healer of the body, but also a listener, a translator, and a relationship-builder between humans and the green world.

In this free workshop, we’ll explore the foundations of the plant spirit path: a practical and grounded approach to building direct relationships with herbs and trees through observation, intuitive perception, and simple spiritual practices. This is a time dedicated to slowing down, listening deeply, and recognizing the ways plants speak through sensation, symbolism, emotion, and insight.

Together we’ll cover:

• What plant spirit pathwork is (and what it isn’t)

• How traditional herbalists related to plants beyond chemistry, and how we do it still

• Ways plants communicate through dreams, body sensations, and intuitive knowing

• Simple methods for meeting a plant ally safely and respectfully

• How plant spirit connection can deepen herbal practice and personal healing

The class will also include a short guided plant connection journey with one of the most ubiquitous trees of the Salt Lake City area, offering participants a direct experience of meeting a plant presence and receiving insight in a calm, grounded way. No prior experience is needed- just curiosity and an open mind.

Come as you are, bring a journal if you’d like, and prepare to listen.

About Josh Williams:

Josh Williams is a clinical herbalist, educator, and practitioner of traditional plant spirit work, blending grounded herbal knowledge with the living folklore and spirit traditions of the Celtic lands. Through his teaching, writing, and community work, he helps students reconnect with the intelligence of plants: not only as medicine, but as guides, guardians, and initiators.

Josh’s approach weaves together traditional herbalism, animist spirituality, ritual practice, and traditional craft, offering a path that is both deeply practical and richly enchanted. He is the founder of The Green Arte, where he shares teachings on plant lore, green sorcery, and reciprocal relationships with the natural world.

When he isn’t teaching or seeing clients, Josh can usually be found in the mountains and hedgerows, learning directly from the land and the spirits that dwell within it.

Josh is in clinical practice at Flow Acupuncture & Apothecary in downtown Salt Lake City, Utah where he offers private herbal medicine consultations and workshops both in-person and online.

Future Weaving Circle with May Bartlett

Future Weaving Circle: A Collective Reimagining of our World with May Bartlett

Thursday, May 28th, 2026 @ 7:00 - 8:30pm

Our times call for a collective dreaming to reimagine what’s possible for our future. There’s an ancient myth* called The Old Woman in The Cave, that can give us some insight into how to navigate these times. The old woman spends her days and nights weaving the threads of the universe together into a beautiful garment. One night a dog enters the cave and destroys her work. At first she thinks all is lost, but as she stares into the chaos, she finds the end of a new thread to pull that inspires an even more beautiful vision for the garment.

We find ourselves staring at the unraveling chaos of the world. And we have a choice. We can get lost in its mess and assume all is doomed, or we can find our unique thread, only revealed to us through the destruction of what was.

Together in circle we’ll face the chaos to each find our thread, then learn how to pull the end to untangle our callings, visions, and gifts. Through community ritual we’ll start to weave the fabric of new futures together in a collective reimagining of our world. We’ll see how everyone’s thread is an essential part of the garment, yet insufficient without each other.

Throughout the evening we’ll engage in guided meditation, storytelling, ritual, and soul searching. You’ll leave with more insight into the darkness and a thread to guide you when things feel hopeless.

As part of this event, we’ll be raising money for Pandos, a local non-profit advocating for Indigenous sovereignty across Turtle Island. You’ll be invited, but not required, to donate what you’d like.

*There are many versions of this myth told throughout indigenous traditions. Here on Turtle Island across many tribes, specifically among Pueblo people. Versions are also found in Norse mythology.

Please arrive a few minutes early. Circle will begin at 7pm. You’re invited to bring any ritual items you’d like to add to our community altar, but nothing is required. All ritual materials will be provided and all experience levels are welcome.

About May Bartlett:

May Bartlett is the founder of CiRCLE, a home to nourish your soul through ritual. She’s a professional facilitator and master certified coach with a masters degree in East/West Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies. For the past decade she’s guided individuals and groups through inner and collective transformation. She’s particularly drawn to spaces that alchemize personal passion, collective magic, and community contribution. She believes our modern ways of being in the world are out of alignment with our truest selves, each other, and the planet. She seeks to right those relationships through processes that question the status quo and reimagine what’s possible for our human existence on this earth.

Understanding the Medicine Wheel with Stephen Pitcher

Understanding the Medicine Wheel: An Introduction with Stephen Pitcher

Thursday, May 7, 2026 7:00 - 8:30pm

This is the second of a quarterly series where we will work with the Medicine Wheel, or Celtic Calendar, to understand behaviors in ourselves and others we encounter. We explore patterns in our lives and others' using these ancient festivals and the knowledge they contain. Typically, we will start with a talk and then explore this more in a Shamanic Drum Journey and share our experiences afterwards.

At this time of Bealtaine, we celebrate the start of summer and ready ourselves to celebrate being; the joy of life, the tactile senses, our connection to the land and all around us.

You don’t need to have attended the first event or have any experience in this work to attend.

About Stephen Pitcher:

Stephen has recently moved from Ireland where he studied Shamanic and Druidic practices with teachers from Mexico, Ireland, and the U.K. The Shamanic path is a nature-based Indigenous wisdom helping us to understand ourselves and rooted in compassion, simplicity, appreciation, and balance. Stephen works with individual clients and groups in healing sessions and also uses these teachings in corporate practices and coaching. He firmly believes all this work is meaningless unless it helps us as we pay the gas bill, earn a living, and nurture our relationships.

The Wisdom of the Dream with Dr. Mark R. Grandstaff, Ph.D.

The Wisdom of the Dream: How you can analyze your night stories with Dr. Mark R. Grandstaff, Ph.D.

Thursday, March 19, 2026 @ 7:00 - 8:30pm

Dreamwork has long been recognized as a vital pathway to psychological insight and inner integration. Dreams arise from the unconscious and express themselves in symbolic language, revealing emotions, conflicts, and potentials that often lie outside waking awareness. By attending carefully to dreams, individuals gain access to aspects of the psyche like the Shadow and the Self that are not filtered through rational defenses or social expectations. Dreamwork allows these symbolic messages to be explored rather than dismissed, helping the dreamer uncover hidden motivations, unresolved tensions, and emerging possibilities for growth. In this way, dreams serve as a natural form of self-regulation, offering guidance, warning, and compensation for one-sided attitudes in conscious life.

In this 90 minute workshop, I will introduce you to Carl Jung’s Approach to Dreamwork. First, we discuss the whys of dreamwork, give an overview of the Psyche, looking at the Shadow, the Anima, and the Animus. Then I will teach you a “Lightning Dream Process,” taught to me personally by Robert Moss, who has written more than 18 books on dreaming. You will leave this meeting with a better understanding of Dreams and the process of remembering and analyzing them. Bring a notebook, two pens (different colors), a recent dream, and a Beginner’s mind. This will be fun and enlivening as we move into Sacred time.

About Dr. Mark R. Grandstaff, Ph.D.:

Dr Mark R. Grandstaff, Ph.D., has a degree in American and Organizational Culture from the University of Wisconsin at Madison. An author of four books and more than seventy articles, he has taught at Brigham Young University (emeritus professor), the University of California at Berkeley, and the University of Maryland, University College.

Dr. Grandstaff is a former fellow of the James MacGregor Burns Institute of Strategic Leadership, College Park. He served on the U.S. President's Committee for National Service. He is also a Certified Typology Master Practitioner who mentors organizations in the use of the Myers-Briggs (MBTI) for communication and conflict resolution. He received training in the U.S. and from Zurich, Switzerland for Jungian Coaching.

His most recent book, Reclaiming The Fire: Depth Psychology in Teacher Renewal, introduces the role that Jungian Typology and Archetypal Reflectivity play in overcoming occupational stress and burnout. Marquis' Who's Who awarded him the 2025 Life Achievement Award for his career contributions. A Jungian Coach, he changes people's lives and can help you do the same.

He has studied and lived in India, Japan, and the USA. His books include Rumi: The Art of Loving, Rumi Essays: On the Life, Poetry, and Vision of the Greatest Persian Sufi Poet, The Words of Rumi, and Through Love Pain is Healed.

Where Love Meets the Shadow: Uncovering the Patterns That Shape Our Relationships with Amy Lukas

Wednesday, February 25th, 2026 @ 7:00 - 8:30pm

Where Love Meets the Shadow is a 90-minute, beginner-friendly workshop exploring how our closest relationships act as powerful mirrors—revealing not only what we long for, but also the hidden parts of ourselves that quietly shape how we connect, attach, protect, and pull away. Through a Jungian lens, we’ll gently explore the unconscious patterns that influence our relationships with partners, family, friends, and even ourselves.

Throughout the evening, you’ll be guided through reflection, experiential exercises, and compassionate inquiry designed to help you recognize emotional triggers, projections, and recurring dynamics—without judgment or blame. Rather than focusing on fixing yourself or others, this work invites awareness, curiosity, and choice, creating space for more authentic connection and conscious love.

In this workshop, you’ll explore:

• Why certain people or patterns trigger strong emotional reactions

• How unspoken needs and disowned traits shape your relationships

• The difference between intuition, boundaries, and shadow-driven responses

• How integrating hidden parts of yourself can lead to deeper connection and more conscious love

This workshop is an invitation to meet yourself more honestly in relationship—to notice where love meets the shadow, and how integrating these hidden aspects can lead to clearer boundaries, deeper intimacy, and greater self-trust. You’ll leave with insight, practical tools, and a renewed sense of agency in how you relate—grounded not in perfection, but in wholeness.

No prior experience with shadow work is needed—just a willingness to be curious, honest, and open to seeing yourself and your relationships more clearly.

Understanding the Medicine Wheel with Stephen Pitcher

Understanding the Medicine Wheel with Stephen Pitcher

Thursday, January 29, 2026 7:00 - 8:30pm

This is one of a quarterly series where we work with the Medicine Wheel or Celtic Calendar to understand behaviours in ourselves and others we encounter. We explore patterns in our lives and others' using this ancient knowledge. The format is that we will start with a talk and then explore this in more depth in a Shamanic Drum Journey and share our experiences afterwards.

You don't have to know or bring anything except maybe some curiosity.

Imbolc is one of the Celtic Cross Quarter days which sit between the Solstice and Equinox and marks the start of Spring. Imbolc means "in the belly of the Mother" and we feel the stirrings of life and the "becoming" of this time of year. It is a time of transformation and beginning.

About Stephen Pitcher:

Stephen has recently moved from Ireland where he studied Shamanic and Druidic practices with teachers from Mexico, Ireland and the U.K. The Shamanic path is a Nature based indigenous wisdom helping us to understand ourselves and rooted in compassion, simplicity, appreciation and balance. Stephen works with individual clients and groups in healing sessions and also uses these teachings in corporate practices and coaching. He firmly believes all this work is meaningless unless it helps us as we pay the gas bill, earn a living and nurture our relationships.

New Year Circle with May Bartlett

Thursday, January 15th, 2026 @ 7:00 - 8:30pm

Join us in circle on January 15th to celebrate the new year through community ritual. January is a bridge between the old and the new. Still steeped in the stillness of winter, we’re asked to wait a little longer for the new life of spring. While we wait, let's come together in circle to harness the wisdom from the past year and cast wishes for the year to come.
