Mythopoetic Theater: Group Storytelling of an Original Fable (a workshop for kids of all ages)

Thursday, April 4, 2024 4:00 - 6:00pm

This interactive, performative workshop is for kids or families interested in creative writing and/or drama. Attendees can choose to participate as a member of the audience or as a part of the story-telling cast! Upon meeting, we will find our roles (even the audience is a crucial role!) and briefly go over the story to get a sense of our characters. When we are ready, we will enact the script, ultimately sharing an original fable called Seeds to Heaven about the power of free thinking and community.

About Jenna Talbott:

Jenna Talbott has an MA in Depth Psychology and Creativity with an Emphasis in the Arts & Humanities. (What a mouthful, she knows.) Ultimately it means she spends a great deal of time and energy finding creative ways to instigate creativity. A performance artist, musician, journalist and creative writer, Jenna finds the greatest gift a good story. “Stories can’t tell themselves,” she says, although she’s not sure. She is sure, however, that whether or not they need us, they appreciate the company.
